Moving right along on kits (skipping decals for now). Started building the MG Crossbone X-1 Ver. Ka kit. So far it's gone pretty quickly as there aren't many pieces (it's not lacking any either) and it's pretty small in comparison to other mobile suits.
As you can see, I painted the eyes by hand as well as the red slashes on the side. Eyes were more difficult than usual as the head is so small.
Last part I've done is the waist. There was one option for the back armor panels that I wasn't sure was about. It involved an extra piece and I don't know what it was for, so I ended up skipping it.
^^ I got this Ver.Ka too!
ReplyDeleteYup, it is a MG with the size of a HG kit... this is because this Gundam originally is smaller than other Gundam. It is time consuming to complete this kit... but it worth the time you spend!
That's for sure. Right now I'm trying to paint the yellow bits on the shoulders as best I can. Trying not to use any of the stickers.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how yours comes out!
I had already completed this kit... last year I think... you can check it out in my site. But not many pictures are taken of it.
ReplyDeleteAh, okay. It looks good! How did you manage to paint the yellow circles on the shoulder bits so well? Mine came out kind of messy...
ReplyDeleteSo is this the Ver. Ka or the Full Cloth? Looks really nice, still can't find the Full Cloth here xD
ReplyDeleteThis is just the Ver. Ka. Much cheaper than the Full Cloth :) (and I don't really miss the other accesories). Works been slow on this kit due to school and whatnot. Just finished the arms though!
ReplyDeletei just use gundam marker to paint the whole area... follow by using darker color detail line marker to fill up the places around it.
ReplyDeleteAh, okay. That sounds like a good method, it's basically what I did for the back of the shoulders. Maybe I'll redo the front that way!
